About the British Soap Awards
The British Soap Awards honours the incredible achievements in the nation’s beloved soaps during a sparkling and star studded ceremony. Each year our soaps deliver outstanding storylines and incredible performances and the ceremony looks back on twelve months of murder, mystery, make-ups, break ups, trials, tribulations and tears. Coronation Street, Doctors, EastEnders, Emmerdale and Hollyoaks go head to head to find out who will be going home with those coveted awards.
Alongside an array of soap favourites, the numerous awards are presented by an array of entertainment’s biggest names. In 2023 the decision was in the hands of the viewers for Villain of the Year, Best Young Performer, Best Leading Performer as well as the big one, Best British Soap. Other categories include Best Dramatic Performance, Best Comedy Performance, Best Newcomer, Scene of the Year, Outstanding Achievement Award and Best Storyline. It’s an evening of drama, entertainment, glitz and glamour recognising the phenomenal talent of our soap stars and a chance for them all to get together and celebrate!
