About Series 19

The 19th series of Ant & Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway was another huge ratings hit as it easily beat the competition with an average of 6m viewers and 36% share.

The series kicked off in typically ambitious style as Ant & Dec surprised an unsuspecting member of the public in a restaurant opposite the studio, whisked him live into the studio on a golf buggy driven (badly) by Jordan North before being told that in cahoots with his wife, he had been pranked for the past 9 months at key stages of the pregnancy and birth of their first born son. The series also saw Stephen Mulhern setting the boys more crazy Ant v Dec challenges, such as a balloon popping race around Television Centre, and a quiz ending with an ice bath dunking and there was more hilarious hidden camera hits as Alison Hammond & Rylan Clarke became the latest Undercover victims, and Claudia Winkleman and Joe Wicks took on I’m A Celebrity Get Out Of Me Ear!.

The series also saw the return of the wildly popular Ring My Bell, a murder mystery whodunnit spoof in Murder At Bigwig Manor, more big name Guest Announcer appearances including by David Tennant, Toni Colette & Big Zuu, spectacular performances from the likes of Tom Grennan, Frozen: The Musical, Mimi Webb & Diversity and hundreds of deserving people winning Places On The Plane to the spectacular series finale live from Universal Orlando Resort in Florida.
