The show that has you on the edge of your seat

About I'm A Celebrity

I’m a Celebrity was created in 2001/2002 by ITV’s in-house Factual Entertainment department. A team of six people came up with the concept – which was originally more of a documentary about Celebrities in the Aussie Outback – and two of the original creators – Lifted MD Richard and SNT, Love Island and I’m A Celeb scriptwriter, Mark Busk-Cowley – are still working on the show, 23 series later.

The show first aired in 2002 and was so popular that we made TWO series in 2003 before settling down to its usual slot at the end of November in the run-up to Christmas. The show is unique in that many of the team working on the show watched it as children – little did they know then that their dreams would come true and they too would end up in the jungle.
